Apologies for the lack of posts - nothing notable has been happening at all, be it on the global scope or the limited Rilgon scope.
Apparently GC has posted the numbers of the Cat/Scorpid nerfs - Scorpid Poison no longer stacks, which is DEFINITELY going to unseat them from their position as #1 DPS pet, but I'm not so sure about Rake. Only math will tell.
In other news, cracked 4000 DPS for the first time this week in a BIG way - 4600 DPS on 25-man Archavon with what was basically a perfect raid composition for my buffs. Sunder, Sting, Earth and Moon, Leader of the Pack, BoK/M/W/S, you name it, I had it, and holy god did my DPS reflect it. :)
Anyways, I'll keep my ear to the Internether and see if I can glean some math on the new Cat and Scorpid performance. And if you need me for anything, AIM me, tweet me, or comment, damnit! :P

Ouch. All those min/maxing scorp users are not going to be happy about that. I have a scorpid myself but not because it does the best DPS. It was the first pet I tamed, the Death Stalker rare spawn in the Barrens and it's been with me ever since. I haven't had the opportunity to check it but they made it unstackable, but did they increase the damage slightly so it doesn't become completely worthless?
Rank 6 Scorpid Poison - 20 base Nature damage per tick, ticks every 2 sec for 10 sec, 0.04 coefficient, 1 stack max
So it all depends on what your pet's AP is - $PET_AP * 0.04 + 20 = $DAMAGE_PER_TICK
The fact though is that it stacks so its a 0.04 coeffecient times 5 right? so you end up with 0.2 which is a fair amount for a pet special.
I would really like to see the pet abilities tooltip to work, I really don't like my pet's sporecloud saying it does 22-28 damage when in practice it ticks 3 times for over 200...
