[W From] [Noobhunter]: dude where u get that pet
[W To] [Noobhunter]: Unfortunately you can't get her anymore.
[W From] [Noobhunter]: wtf why
[W To] [Noobhunter]: Blizzard made her untameable - go check for yourself, she's the Sapphire Hive Queen in Sholazar.
[W From] [Noobhunter]: oh man thats stupid its so cool
[W To] [Noobhunter]: Yeah, I know :D
(Names changed to protect the innocent)
And I predict it will only increase in frequency as less and less Sapphire Hive Queens flitter about Dalaran. But what confuses me and other SHQ-loving Hunters is... Why make her, of all things, untameable? There are no bugs that I know of with her, and it's not due to interfering with people doing the quest to kill her - she respawns in about 15 seconds when killed or tamed.
Someone (was it Maevet?) through out an interesting idea - that Blizzard didn't want Hunters running around with what looked like a raid boss. But that doesn't make sense - the real Core Hounds (i.e. not the dumb green or white ones) look just like Magmadar. They're not untameable!
Meh, I guess I'm ranting. Honestly, it'll just make Ayamiss that much more unique, and make my guildies' yelling about her that much less valid, since I can't get rid of her - I couldn't ever get her back! :P

Honestly??? Who knows why Blizz decides to give us pets then take them away!?!?
The silly thing is that they decide to do these things anyways.
And the more distressing item is how many hunters just don't read the patch notes.
/shakes head
What's even worse is when they take something away even after saying they'd keep it in. (I'm looking at you Grimtotem spirit guide)
I raided Naxx with another guild last night and we were talking about the warlock summoning bug and one of the raid leaders says on vent 'speaking of bugs, that thing is fucking huge.' I loled.
Lol, reminds me of a Paladin that left our guild recently - he'd always remark (jokingly) about how "I could heal better if all my health bars weren't covered up by a giant orange wasp ass". XD
Love my wasp.
I wouldn't trade Chi for the world.
I hear ya. My wasp (still haven't named her) isn't going anywhere. Neither is my spirit beast.

Speaking of things taken away, has anyone looked at their Mirror of Truth post patch...?
*sigh
re: Mirror of Truth - it's a tooltip bug. It still works for Melee and Ranged physical attacks.
re: Sholazar Queen - Hoffman is gonna be sticking around for a while :)

I've noticed that the wasp has lower stats than the rest of my pets and since then i am not using her in raid.
I haven't checked this in 3.0.8 but before that it had ~30 lower pure DPS than the wolf, cat, bird of prey
All those 4 pets are Ferocity Pets and had the same build and happiness yet they hat different DPS in their sheet.
So yes there was(and probably still is) a bug with their lower stats.
On another note i need more stables space...
Ghost wolf and Huhuran are taking 2 spots and if i am going to be usefull for raids i need the bird of prey for her debuf and a hyena for pvp moments a cat for the dps and a gorilla for farm days ... wait that is 6 out of 5 possible spots. Wait raptor DPS is now superior to the Cat i have to get a raptor and disband the "ghost sabre" ? WTF IF THEY MAKE IT UNTAMABLE TOO TOMOROW :(
I made sure to tame her before the patch, stable is getting a bit full now. GEIF MORE STABLE SLOTS!
I just wish I'd tamed the oozeling thing.
Longtooth: ALL Wasps were 10% DPS below other Ferocity pets - like Spirit Beasts, they weren't getting the bonus DPS from being a Ferocity pet. This has been corrected in 3.0.8, and I definitely notice. Her performance since the patch has been exemplary.
Longtooth-I think you mean carrion birds. Birds of Prey are cunning pets with a disarm ability.
I have a SHQ and she sit's in the stables giving my other pet's love. I never take her out because she blocks everything and get's on my nerves. Can't click on the mailbox, Auctioneer, banker..... ughh. I just keep hoping they make her smaller and until then use Blacksting when I need a wasp.
Oh is the oozling not tamable any longer? Shoot... I was planning on taming one and calling it Aborted Fetus.
Perzyx-Nope, none of the spirits summoned during the Oracle daily 'A Cleansing Song' are tameable now.
Dammit. I was going to use the Inscription tool and rename it every seven days. Names like AbortedFetus, ImProLife, and MissCarriage. Sigh.
