Piercing Shots < Barrage
Combat Experience > Improved Barrage
I blame the dummies and the spreadsheets. Spent a few hours with both, and I made a very subtle but critical change today: I dropped Piercing Shots for Barrage. Now, that said, I tried dropping CE for 2/3 IBarrage, and I saw a DOWNGRADE in my DPS for that shift.
Thusly, I've changed my side-linked talent specs accordingly.

Curiouser and curiouser...
It's worth pointing out that this won't ring true once you get onto the raid ladder.
With the amount of excess item points being used up by Armour Ignore, your going to find yourself with a fair amount of it. Piercing Shots gets better the more Armour Ignore you have.
I imagine it won't be long till it out dps-es some extra damage on one shot
Eh... I've been playing with the latest (3.0.3) incarnation of the spreadsheet, and it's taking an exorbitant amount of ArPen (I mean gemming for it) to make PShots beat out Barrage.
Not worth it, IMO.
