there is a cave where you have to kill that big guy with the powder, cobalt spawns there a lot. I nearly killed a horde Spriest to get to a node, i saw it on my minimap and saw him running, i jumped down and aggroed stuff, feigned death and mined it and called my pet to me. pulling 6 things onto the priest, who like the genius he was psychic screamed them and pulled aggro. Mining is a dog eat dog world.

yep, fjord has tons of cobalt, most likely the people on your server are just better at finding it first. But from my experiance, no miner ever finds the cobalt because almost every miner ive talked to said that they never find any and every non miner finds one per minute it seems.
