Sure, I know Mirsh is gonna like that design mentality, but I know I sure as hell don't. -_-;
Am I the only one that this actually frustrates at some core level?

You know the ironic thing about that is... and maybe it's just me... but honestly MM is looking the tastiest of the three trees in Beta right now >.>
Why oh why do incompetent asses keep drawing a paycheck when much more capable people can't get a job?
See, I've always thought that's where we are, what with chain trapping, pet management, and being a physical range dps class. We've already "conquered the outdoors" or whatever nonsense. I've never even pictured us as being a sniper class... a sniper class would have fucking camouflage..
Where the hell are people drawing these metaphors from anyway?!
That's the thing, Neggles - ever since closed beta, I've played my Hunter as basically a mobile artillery piece - I don't give a damn about my pet except keeping it happy and well fed so it keeps things off of my face while I put a bullet/arrow in their skull.
I WANT to be a sniper, not an outdoorsman.
I WANT to be a hunter, w/e THAT is >.<
And your pet gives you 2% increased dmg, don't knock it too hard ;)
I'm not. That's why he gets only the best in pet food and treats. :P
Pssst! Blogroll. Doooooeeeetttt!
You first, I didn't see myself there. :P
As for whether I like it or not, Rilgon...I will reserve judgement until it becomes clear exactly what that statement means. ;-)
Imagine, if you would, the raids of tomorrow:
Mage: "I'll nuke 'em."
Warrior: "I'll tank 'em."
Rogue: "I'll stab 'em."
DK: "I'll disease 'em."
Druid: "HoTs for all!"
Hunter: "I'll impress them by building a fire from twigs, living off the land, and being one with nature!"
Raid Lead: "...Ok, ditch the hunter, somebody get me a ret pally. -.-"
...thus, my problem with the blue statement.
i just like it how we are supposed to be outdoorsy survivalist types, but we are only allowed 2-3% dodge with all of our 80 crap pvp gear on. that just doesnt make sense to me.

WTF? I thought I had you blogrolled ages ago. Sorry about that, you are on it now.
One thing I think everyone's missing is something that Drotara and some others are finding out now on Naxx runs... hunters are being asked to spec for raid roles. Do you realize what an incredibly wide array of raid support functions we can fill? If the raid has no enhance, we have TSA. If they need replenishment, we have hunting party. If they don't have I-sanc, we have FI. If they don't have a minor armor debuff, we have wasps. No insect swarm? Scorpid sting! The list goes on. Mark my words; raiding hunters are going to become the ultimate utility infielders. As my guild looks toward 3.0, we're already realizing that our hunters may be respeccing EVERY RAID depending on what other classes are available. No matter what Blizzard's "vision" is, this is what they're really driving us toward. That could be good or bad depending on your POV.
I can't gather which is more simultaneously hilarious and sad: You having the audacity to mention Drotara on my blog, or the concept that you think I'd take solace or satisfaction in being asked to respec.
I read that wall of text and decided on this conclusion: Congrats hunters! You are now the tools of the raid!
Sorry, Rilgon, if you two have a history I don't know about it. So if I was audacious, it was by accident.
Neggles: Exactly. For people who like being versatile, not necessarily a bad thing; for folks who prefer the feel of a particular spec... not pleasant.
No, more specifically, I'm just confused how anyone can look up to people like Drotara, Levidian, or Megatf. Yes, they are skilled at what they do, but they are also the biggest, most pompous assholes that I have ever had the unfortunate misery of meeting. They are not worthy of respect because they exhibit no respect of others first.
