128 MB of 1.2 GB - 52 minutes remaining.

Now, mind you, I can't do a damn thing until 4 PM CDT, but woot for it being almost done.

Catch you on the flip side, kids - I know lots of you are having pseudo-doom-and-gloom posts on your blogs - we will be FINE. Trust me. I've been in Beta - life is GOOD.

Unless you PVP, then I really don't care.

I agree, we will be fine, I was satisfied with the time I spent on Beta. It's the whole transition/re-learning process that sort of scares me a little. Because I have this deep-seated fear of being considered a huntard even for a little while.

Overall I am excited though. Not happy that my work shift today happens to be an EVENING shift, but ya know. At least I have a three day weekend coming. >.>

lol, we will survive either way in my case. i play casually (and with casual pvp'ers), so it doesnt matter really how good at pvp we are (just pve because i dont like to gimp my friends in raids). either way, we are better than we were in tbc, just more of a challenge (ie, fun since i dont care about ratings) to pvp now.

Rilgon,

I like reading your blog, though I think your animus against pvp / pvpers is misplaced.

I've got a question re: an MM rotation. Earlier, you posted a rotation in which you wait for SS to go a bit before casting Chimera. Would casting Chimera as soon as it is up be a higher dps rotation? Or do you think that it is simply too mana intensive to be a part of a stock MM rotation?

Yeah, I'm clueless, but I'm trying to sort things out for the expansion. Thanks.

Yes, it's higher DPS to land your Chimeras the second they come off cooldown. Less damage on the Chimera-Serpent component, but it's the front-end damage of Chimera that hits like a truck - the Serpent component is like getting hit by a Ford Focus after getting hit by an F-250.

And my animosity towards PVPers is only a mirroring of that which is directed towards me.

Ugh. It's days like these that I want to quit work and be a professional gamer.

I'm just dramatic when it comes to changes in the strats because it takes me longer than most to learn them. >.> I don't want to be left in teh dark. And I wanna find my own style, as well. So I've got a lot of work to do! =)

Thanks as always for keeping my site bustling with activity. <3 Have fun tonight.

wow, i just realized that it takes you almost an hour to download 1.2 GB. o.0

it took me around 1-2 min (though that may have been because i had all the pre-patch stuff)

I have the pre-patching stuff disabled.

I've actually had it disabled since the old days when they first implemented it, because it made me lag in Molten Core and there was no way I could have that.

I think I posted something earlier, but perhaps it didn't go through.

Thanks for the response, Rilgon -- good to know. I'm a "BM-for-life" person who respecs to MM at least once a week because... I love the spec (can you say 50g respecs?).

Anyway, thanks for the feedback. I guess I'm going to give the MM spec a good go this week and was wondering whether popping Chimeras whenever they are up would be worth it, given the mana consumption (prays for ret pallies).

I think you'll find that there are a silent majority of people who pvp who find your views interesting, or, who disagree with you in a civil manner. Anyway, as you say, fuck the idiots, but I don't think that everyone out there who is concerned about arena / pvp need to classified as such.

Good luck and have fun with the patch (let us know your MM findings -- I don't plan on using a macro, but would like to get a sense of some "starter" rotations)
