Changes from my current build:
-3/3 Focused Aim
-3/3 Hawk Eye
+2/2 Improved Revive Pet
+1/5 Endurance Training
+1/1 Aspect Mastery
+2/2 Survival Instincts
Thoughts? The more I think on it, I'm pretty sure I can forgo Focused Aim in order to snag Aspect Mastery - those are REALLY tempting bonuses. And as a MM Hunter (a.k.a. a RAP WHORE), Survival Instincts is looking REALLY snazzy, plus really inviting for the damage reduction bonus - I have a stupid tendency to ignore important things like FLAME PATCHES.

Hmmm I like.. I would still trade out Imp Stings for Imp Arcane. When working with my spec, I always think "Okay, I'm competing with BM hunters, what can I take that will even it out?"
And it's always such a big inner debate about how much I love those extra 6 yards...
I had 10 points in BM for a long time for the Imp. Revive Pet... but Aspect Mastery does look very very tempting.

Well, the problem is that Arcane and Chimera share a linked cooldown. Therefore, you're looking at "do I want to make the end result of Chimera 12% stronger, or do I want to make Arcane 15% stronger?"
The problem is that Chimera, IMO, has better scaling than Arcane, because Chimera can crit TWICE - the bonus damage off of Serpent Sting is a separate calculation and can crit on its own. Drotara, much as I don't like him, did some sound testing on the Beta forums and showed a picture of a Chimera double-critting for around 3.6k on each component.
Plus, there's the whole concept of there not being much of a "rotation" anymore - it's basically "mash Steady until something better is ready, a la Multi or Chimera".
BM and SV are also expected to keep a sting (probably Serpent, it's ticking for a LOT) up, too.
ril, it looks like they are nerfing aspect of the viper. and since mm goes through mana the fastest of all the hunter specs, it is a nerf to them (though they are still way better off overall compared to bc).

Where are you getting the shared CD for Arcane and Chimera? Chimera has a 10 sec CD; Arcane has 6. Have they changed it someplace I haven't seen?
