I love how self-defeating Hunters are.

What I don't love is how stupid and vocal the self-defeating Hunters are. The number of Hunters who have actually labeled the old Viper as "overpowered" shatters the brain - not only was it the best fix we've received since vanilla release, it was also A) very succinct, B) not suggested by any major theorycrafting Hunter, and C) finally corrected the vast majority of our PVE weaknesses and placed us on a even footing with every other melee DPS class.

Now, I can see basically every other class throwing a fit about it. After all, most people hate Hunters. This is a given fact. That said, it boggles the mind that Hunters themselves (unless their Hunters are just alts that they use to have some level of "cred" to troll the Hunter-related forums with) would actually scoff at fixes that fix our BASIC, CORE PROBLEMS is horrifying.

What's even more horrifying, however, is just how plain STUPID they are! Take, for example, this bile that was slung at me on MMO-Champion. Ignore for the moment that (s)he probably has an IQ below 70 for using that stupid "baww" bullshit, but look further at the message. Firstly, she claims to be a Survival Hunter - the ONLY Hunter spec that ISN'T starved for mana (sup Thrill). Beyond that, (s)he makes idiotic quips like "part of the game is learning what to do with your shot rotation so that you can keep a maximum dps up at all times, even if it means cooling off on dps sometimes to let your mana go back up" - what the hell is that even supposed to MEAN?! If you were actually SERIOUS about keeping your DPS at its peak (which you should), you would do everything you can to AVOID Viper (live OR beta) by chain-chugging Fel Mana Potions, running with Elixirs of Major Mageblood, and keeping Superior Mana Oil on every melee weapon you have strapped on. And for the most part, that gets the job done.

But here's the hitch - CHAIN-CHUGGING POTIONS IS GONE. FINITO. HISTORY. NO LONGER AN OPTION.

But then, you get to the end of this message, and you find the most hilarious thing I've ever seen suggested as a fix for our mana issues.

"get more MP5"

YES, LET ME RUN RIGHT OUT AND FUCKING STACK SOME MP5, OH BOY

Maybe we should stack some spell power for Arcane Shot, too. [/sarcasm]

mp5?

Are they SERIOUS?

Personally, I am of the belief that SV hunters should not even talented into Thrill of the Hunt for raiding, because most raiding SV hunters are placed in with a shaman anyway, gaining mana through totems and mana tide. I specced out of it as soon as I noticed that my mana pool wasn't half empty on Naj'entus.

But, of course, without chain-chugging potions, we are screwed. We deserve our own innervate...

"Are they SERIOUS?"

The sad thing is I think they are.

I'm sorry, but do they even REALIZE why T6 helm and leggings are the WORSE of the set?

mp5! Staring right at you! Or maybe not them, since I highly doubt they are in endgame raiding if they think that hunters don't have mana issues...

Idiots...

MP5 wouldn't be so bad for us if it weren't such an EXPENSIVE stat to itemize for. God knows I'd love some MP5 on our gear, but not at what it would actually cost us to get.

I don't even get how Blizzard thinks that it's bad if people in epics mana up faster (with old Viper). Why shouldn't our abilities get better with better gear? /boggle

Rilgon, I can't believe you aren't stacking mp5, as well as spell hit for better trapping. WTF? What kind of huntard are you??

My two pieces of Beast Lord's ARE gemmed for Spell Hit. ;)

But you're right, I'm not stacking MP5, I'm so terrible T_T
