So I discovered Skettis today. Marvelous place. Fun quests. Daily quests. Gained like 75 gold. Got to show off my flying skill for some draenei ladies in Skettis.
I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL GENOCIDE EVERY LAST MONSTEROUS KALIRI ON THIS PLANET.
WHO MADE THESE THINGS, ANYWAYS? No FUCKING WONDER we're bombing their eggs, they're PURE. UNDILUTED. FEATHER-COVERED. EVIL.
...aside from the Kaliri, being level 70 has its own challenges, including:
*Trying to hit 375 Engineering so I can use Primal Nethers for cash-money
*Trying to farm the Repair Bot 110G schematic so I can hit 375 Engineering
*Trying to convince Heroic groups that I'm not a Huntard.
*Trying to get EFFING LOWER CITY REP so I can buy my Auchenai Key for Heroic Auchindoun runs
*Wondering whose idea the Monsterous Kaliri were
As an aside, Misdirection is AMAZING. Good for trash pulls to get three mobs on my tank, good for boss fights to lead with a solid 5000 threat onto him. Good for killing that fucking Mage who refused to drop a table.
I like manna biscuits. Sue me.

Discovered your blog today via Mirsh and just wanted to say... it's always nice to see somebody who plays a spec because they like that spec and not because it's the cookie-cutter one. Yes I'm saying that as a 41/20/0 huntard. But as I'm fond of saying-- I don't play BM for the DPS, I play it because the hunter/pet symbiosis just appeals to me aesthetically. And because the 1:1 shot rotation (oh and screw macros, I time my own shots) has a very zenlike feel for it to me and I like being able to get into that "groove". You could nerf the heck outta BM and I'd have a hard time spec'ing something else.
I'm having a hard enough time trying to convince myself to try 0/31/30 or something. I'd be giving up too much of what I love about hunters (hunter and pet feeding off of each other via talents like Ferocious Inspiration)
Oh well, pretty soon my second hunter will be level 70, maybe I can try then >.>
Keep doing what you enjoy and oh, I agree with you that MM is perfectly fine for leveling, I leveled to 52-ish as straight MM and had no issues.

See, and that's a lot of why I play MM. I enjoy the focus on my own prowess as a marksman and as a ranged attacker - I see my pets as my friends, yes, but I don't see them as tools, and that's almost how I envision BM to behave.
Most people reading this at this point will start rolling their eyes and mutter something about "lolrp", but meh.
And I agree with you, there's something very methodical and rhythmic about my 1:1.5. It's getting to be so innate that I can almost chant the rotation without even doing it and it almost works out.
Ok... i have a funny story to tell. My guild had just recruited a new off tank. Was the first girl in our guild. Being the teenagers we are, we all wanted to impress her. We needed to gear her up some for kara, so my friends and i did slabs with her. It was a night i will never forget. People were doin w/e they wanted. I would misdirect to other dps, even to healers. NEVER to her. She was like "God elf, you make me lol so hard i cant hate you !" So, my buddies got jealous. My pally friend Werdna decided to fix this problem. If youve ever done slabs, you know that the room 2nd boss is in is a pain in the ass. We were gettin rdy to pull, i was bout to md back to dps, and all of a sudden on vent we hear the following phrase "LEEEEEEERRRRRRRRROOOOOOOYYYYYY JEEEEEEEENNNNNNNKINNNSSSSS" My friend werdna, a holy pally, ran into the middle of room, pulled boss and bubble hearthed. then i was like "Shit, shit, WHO THE FUCK IS SHOOTING US!? Oh well FIRE OUR SHIT!" and entire thing went into various quotes from different funny things while we all got our asses handed to us by the entire room. The warrior g quit after the run :( Shes still my friend tho!! ^_^
The room with the Inciter is not a pain in the ass in the slightest. I love pulling that room. :)

And I do gotta admit, it is ironic and a bit silly that "Beast Mastery" is powerful not so much because of the beast as because of the hunter shooting faster. =P I'm fine with it that way-- to me, the BM shot rotation is, to borrow an old hacker term, "functional and elegant"-- but the other trees could really, really use some love from Blizz to become truly competitive again I think. It's sad when people with different playstyles are all forced to spec one thing because it's the only viable option.
