I'm getting to that point where I'm starting to wonder whether I should even bother continuing with my Hunter at all, much less continuing to play as BM. My guild, sad as it is to say, is atrocious. No guilds that I know of are recruiting Hunters at the level of progression I'm at (Heroics/beginning of Karazhan), and the one guild that I did have an audience with point-blank refused me when I point-blank refused to spec lolbm.
Combine that with the caustic, hateful mentality I get on the forums in response to any post that I make that's pro-MM in the slightest... *sigh* Someone remind me why I'm playing, again? Rerolling a Holy Priest seems really inviting right now...
Anyways, in non-depressing news... Got my Auchenai Key finally, so I'm attuned to every Heroic instance save for Caverns of Time. Murmur FINALLY coughed up my Sonic Spear, which is happily enchanted with +35 Agility. Now the real dilemma comes about - with my Hit rating being so far over the cap (by about 30 points, holy crap), where do I drop hit rating in my other gear? I'm waiting for a few gear pieces that I want at the moment to do some serious gemming (i.e. 2-piece Beast Lord), but I'm already getting some Delicate Blood Garnets cut to shove into every gem slot I can find. I'd like to get some Living Rubies, but... eh, my luck with mining is terrible and I'd like to get my epic flier first. Not like I do any content that requires the good gemming... -_-;

Hello :) I saw the link to your blog on the forums and read some of your past entries and found it very interesting. :D
As for gear you could drop with hit rating, you could look at replacing your belt and/or your back. Cloak of Malice drops off the Warlock boss in Shattered Halls and the Felstalker Belt is pretty cheap to make.

Dont go emo dude. Your a good hunter. And hey, MM hunters can do some serious damage. Today in ZA i was 2nd behind a t5 feral druid, and in gruul i was 5th. Stick it out, work on getting nicer gear and having a good time in game.
In sadder news, 4 items i really needed dropped today: Akilzon'z Talon blade (i think thats name, sword off of eagle in za), the leather belt off of bear in Za, tier 4 leggings AND DST!!! Well... would have been uber, but i lost sword and belt to rogue which i didnt mind too much cause its rogue crap.. t4 went to a warlock over me when i lost roll... but heres what got me... DST. It went to a fury warrior. I won the roll for it at first. I rolled like a 69 or so. The warrior didnt even roll till like 3 min after when the raid leader told him to and he rolled a 71!!! I WAS SO PISSED! But meh... shit happens.
Just keep on playin dude, you will be saught after soon enough :)

that alone is the reason I don't bother to do much more than skimm the forums. Thats why I have the offical forums link on my blog as "Assholes & Opinions"
As for gear, I'll parrot Zach, since that was imediatly what poped to my mind before I clicked to leave a comment. Also look into grabbing the pants from the Desolation set, they're very good for MM, and with good +hit (and buku +hit with a 2/set) you can shuffle other gear around.

I'd say join my guild-- we're at heroics/beginning Kara and we make a very prominent point of never telling people how to spec (actually I have long wished we could get some non-BM hunters in here, I want someone to gimme Trueshot or Exposed Weakness dangit) but then you'd have to transfer to my LOLRP server and put up with my LOLRP guild ;)
And honestly, Pike, if I didn't have a few attachments to my current server and had a better backstory for Rilgon, I'd probably take you up on that offer. Unfortunately, one of my bestest internet friends is on my server, and she's in an established guild (who isn't recruiting Hunters - she's tried for me), and couldn't transfer if she wanted to, and I don't think I could transfer without her.
Which is sad, I'm pretty sure both of us would love the LOLRP. :)

pretty sure that ur only asking rilgon, but i love to RP. I have a 60 gnome rogue on feathermoon rp server. What server are you on? i would deffinetly consider transfering him to your server and probably join your guild if theres a spot for him! :)
